What We're Buying

The extra-special products we’re scoping out, adding to our carts, and loving this week.

Not to toot our own horns, but we have pretty good taste. Recently, we’ve published articles to help you prep for your next beach day, wedding, work-from-home sessions, and more. And when we assemble our roundups, we hand-select each product we highlight — some of which we already own and are huge fans of, and others currently in our shopping carts. Since we’d never want you to miss out on the fun, here’s a list of the products we’re buying, so you can have a glimpse of what to grab ASAP.

KBH Diamond Ring

When it comes to treating myself to jewelry, I prefer to splurge on rings. Why? Because I can admire them all day long as I tap away at my keyboard. This Diamond X Ring by KBH Jewels is not only an eye-catcher, the diamonds are also ethically sourced. I’m adding this to my wish list ASAP. – Alaina

EVA Birkenstock Sandals

I’m a serious fan of a beach day, so I loved all our picks for products spending time in the sun. But my ultimate warm-weather must-haves are these Birkenstock sandals, which I wear all summer long. They’re light as air and waterproof, since they’re made of EVA plastic, but they have a molded footbed so they feel as supportive and cozy as a “real” Birkenstock. Plus, the price is way lower than traditional Birks — I have two pairs so far and I’m absolutely eyeing a third… – Molly

JBL Bluetooth Speaker

This speaker was recommended in our 4th of July party-planning guide and I can personally vouch for it. This is the workhorse I use when I ride my spin bike — it’s got a long battery life, super-clear sound quality (and strong bass, which can make or break a speaker, in my opinion), and is small enough to be thrown in a weekend tote and brought to a campsite, beach day, or pool party. Two thumbs way up. – Molly

Lancome Rose Sugar Scrub

In the summer, I try to maintain a healthy glow by using a gentle exfoliator a couple of times a week (it helps clear any dead or dry skin off the surface.) Lancôme’s Rose Sugar Scrub always does the trick. It’s gentle enough to use on even the most sensitive of skin types like mine. -Alaina

Sandcloud Beach Towel

I don’t mind the ocean, but sand is not my friend. So I usually avoid the beach unless I know I’ll have a chair to sit on — which unfortunately limits my beach time because I don’t always have access to a chair. What I really need is a towel that’s sand-resistant, that I can stash in my bag and throw on the beach at a moment’s notice. And I just learned that actually exists: Sandcloud’s extra-soft beach towel doesn’t take hours to dry, and is lightweight and sand-resistant! Plus, this one comes in a fun, on-trend tie-dye pattern. And 10 percent of profits go to marine conservation organizations. It ticks every box. – Maggie

Bug Bite Thing

I don’t know why, but I seem to be a magnet for bugs. Rarely do I venture outside without returning home bearing an entire buffet of bites. I first saw the Bug Bite Thing on Shark Tank and thought, “That sounds too good to be true.” It’s a small tube that, through suction, pulls out the irritants in insect saliva that make us itch like crazy. I don’t know how it manages to accomplish this, but however it works, I won’t be without mine this summer, and my skin thanks me for it. – Ryan
