In Our Cart: What We’re Buying This Week

KCM In Our Cart

We see it, we like it, we want it, we got it.

We don’t mean to brag, but we’ve got metaphorical black belts in online shopping. Recently, we’ve published ideas for some gorgeously Instagrammable cookware, a preview of the killer upcoming Nordstrom sale, adorable wide-leg jeans (since skinny jeans have apparently gone the way of the dodo), and more. We hand-select each product we highlight, some of which we already own and others that are currently in our shopping carts. Here are the products we’re admiring, researching, fixating on, and buying.

Food52 x GreenPan Nonstick Cookware

After reading about this set in our Instagrammable cookware roundup, I just had to get my hands on some of these gorgeous pots and pans. I went with the Food52 x GreenPan Nonstick Cookware Collection and I was not disappointed. The cookware is beautiful, sparkling, and my favorite colors: Mint and gold! And everything slides off these plans so easily. Plus, cleaning them requires a lot less physical exertion than my old pots and pans did. I can’t wait to cook every night! Now I’m not sure how long that’s going to last, but I do feel confident that these high-quality kitchen accessories will last a long time. – Maggie

AGOLDE Mid-Rise Loose Fit Jeans

If any denim brand will get me to wear wide-leg jeans, it’s AGOLDE. The brand is a fashion girl favorite and makes such high-quality and durable denim staples. Yes, they’re pricey, but I’m a big cost-per-wear shopper, and this brand is worth the price tag, based on how many times I’ve reached for them. I live in the AGOLDE Parker shorts during summer, and can’t wait to try this loose fit style for fall. – Alaina

A Dog Carrier Backpack

My dog loves to come along on adventures, but his tiny chihuahua legs aren’t exactly equipped for tough terrain. (Plus, he gets pretty lazy after a while.) This dog backpack is the perfect solution, and one of our favorite finds from Amazon. My pooch can stay comfy and cool inside, plus there’s room in the pockets for my phone and whatever else I need. And having him nestled in there makes any Instagram photos I take along the way at least 75 percent cuter. – Ryan

Rene Furterer Naturia Dry Shampoo

I’ve tried a lot of dry shampoos — during my former life as a beauty editor, I tested 24 of them while doing research for one particular story. So I’m incredibly picky about what I use to liven up tired and limp second- or third-day hair. This Rene Furterer dry shampoo — which we recommended in our piece about how to keep your hair and makeup looking fresh during an all-day wedding — gives your hair extra fullness and bounciness, so it’s the perfect thing to throw in a gym bag. (Or just to have in the medicine cabinet when you can’t be bothered to shower.) Unlike lots of other dry shampoos, this doesn’t leave a ghostly white cast behind in your hair. But it does leave a lovely scent and dries up excess oil in a snap. – Molly

Genusee Core Blue Light Glasses

If you’ve ever met me IRL, you’ll know that one of my favorite conversation starters is, “Do you like my sunglasses? Let me tell you about them.” I don’t remember how I first got introduced to Genusee, but their founder is one of the kindest, coolest women ever and the brand’s mission is nothing short of heroic — while working for the Red Cross during the Flint water crisis, Michigan native Ali Rose was concerned about all of the plastic waste from the water bottles that were needed to get the community clean drinking water. So she started a glasses company based in Flint, using upcycled water bottles to make the frames, and hiring local artists to design them. Most importantly, the glasses themselves are just plain cool. The frames look good on everyone’s faces, they come in a variety of colors, they’re super light (because they’re made of water bottles!) and they’re very reasonably priced. They’re also a great conversation starter (trust me). Since I already had the shades, I decided to get these blue-light ones — and they’re on sale! – Emily

Did I hear something about hating bra tops and crop tops? Guess not. I love this cropped workout top from Alo that suits my workout-to-casual-wear needs. Shiseido Urban Environment Oil-Free UV Protector SPF 42

Now is the time to splurge on a good sunscreen. This Shiseido product is perfect for everyday use. It smells great when you smear it on first thing in the morning, it won’t clog your pores and won’t leave your skin feeling greasy. (Plus, it’s perfect under a foundation!) Minutes after application, you won’t even notice you have it on, though it provides some serious UV protection.
