About Eu'Genia Shea
With roots in Ghana, Eu’Genia Shea is a skincare brand created by a mother-daughter duo Eugenia and Naa-Saakle, who are dedicated to bringing all-natural, premium shea butter moisturizers to a U.S. audience. Naa-Saakle learned the benefits of shea butter from her mother, a Ghanaian midwife, while she was growing up. Founding Eu’Genia Shea was the result of combining Naa-Sakle’s business acumen with Eugenia’s shea-butter expertise, to create a company that prioritizes high-quality ingredients and social justice. The brand’s raw materials are sourced from a co-op of female farmers in northern Ghana, which guarantees its workers sustainable wages and advancement opportunities. But Eugenia and Naa-Sakle didn’t stop there: An additional 15% of all profits from Eu’Genia Shea are donated back to that same co-op in an education fund for the workers’ children.
