About Avaline
For Cameron Diaz and Katherine Power, a shared love of wine did more than solidify their friendship. After meeting through a mutual friend and bonding over wine, Diaz and Power realized they didn’t know what was actually in their favorite drink, and their subsequent research revealed some unsavory details: Non-organic wines can contain traces of pesticides, added sugars, artificial colors, and unnecessary sulfites. So the two set out on a mission to curate a line of organic, reasonably priced wines that are easy to find online or in local stores, and launched Avaline two years later with bottles from producers in Spain, France, and Washington state. With full ingredient lists for each varietal and a helpful ingredient explainer on site, Avaline ensures you can sit back, relax, and enjoy a glass (or two) worry free.
Why we love them
Whether you consistently scour the ingredient list on foods to catch any red flags or just enjoy a good glass of Cabernet, Avaline is about to become your go-to. Each bottle comes in at $24 to $30, and Avaline offers three-bottle bundles of its whites, reds, and “The Essentials” (white, rosé, and red) so you can test each and find your favorite. Avaline has quickly become beloved among team KCM, starting with our colleague Stacey, who buys the White, Red, and Rosé by the case. KCM’s Lisa says the White is crisp, refreshing, and doesn’t aggravate her allergies like other alcohols do, while our colleague Alissa says the Rosé is her new go-to for warm evenings and sunny weekends. And Avaline’s new Cabernet Sauvignon is an excellent pairing for cooler months and hearty fall dishes.
