Weekend Whats: Yours Truly!

Start summer off right with these weekend picks!

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m so ready for summer! I’m kicking it off this weekend with one of my favorite summer dinners, crazy-comfy athletic beachwear, and the new album no one can stop talking about.

What I’m watching

Just when I thought I couldn’t spend another moment in Gilead, those damn handmaidens still have me hooked. I think Elizabeth Moss is one of the greatest actors of our time. I got to zoom hang with the actors recently—stay tuned for that! I’m also loving Mare of Easttown. Kate Winslet (who I chatted with on my podcast, Next Question) completely transforms into a Delco native, and I love that Jean Smart is, as they say, “having a moment.”

What I’m reading

Lisa Taddeo is a brilliant writer. I loved Three Women, and now I’m reading her debut novel, Animal (out June 8). It’s pretty depraved (the word the narrator uses to describe herself), but riveting.

What I’m listening to

Olivia Rodrigo’s new album, Sour. Trying to keep with the kids, including my daughter Carrie.

What I’m cooking

I’m making branzino filets on the grill for friends tonight: Put it on foil, skin down, and slice a lemon and maybe some herbs on top. Close the grill. Cook for five minutes and then remove the fish with a spatula. The skin will stay on the foil. It’s super easy! Then I mix olive oil, lemon, capers and chopped up Castelvetrano olives (you can throw in chopped red onions and tomatoes if you feel like it) and pass them around to pour over the fish. It makes me feel like I’m sitting on a Greek island somewhere.

What I’m wearing

Line in the Sand swim/athletic wear. I love their leggings—they’re lightweight and flattering! Plus the company is so philanthropic.. their products are made from recycled ocean plastics and 100% of profits go to organizations fighting cancer or protecting the oceans! I’ll also be wearing plenty of sunscreen from Supergoop!
