This International Women’s Day is slated to be a big one.

This International Women’s Day, Katie will once again be hitting the SXSW stage — this time, to co-headline a keynote panel alongside two other very special guests. On March 8, Katie will be joined by the Duchess of Sussex and Golden Globe Award-nominated actress Brooke Shields, to talk about the thorny and complex topic of women in media. You can watch the conversation live right here from 1-2 p.m. CST.

The trio will be speaking to Nancy Wang Yuen, the diversity equity and inclusion consultant at Peoplism. And the event will be moderated by Errin Haines, host of The Amendment podcast and editor-at-large for The 19th News.

The keynote address, entitled “Breaking Barriers, Shaping Narratives: How Women Lead On and Off the Screen,” will explore the challenges that women still have to face in their efforts to break barriers in media. According to the SXSW program, “Women’s representation in media and entertainment has come a long way, but there’s still much to be done, especially for women of color and mothers” — so you can expect Katie and her fellow panelists to dig into some pretty tough topics. Plus, the panel will delve into the controversy surrounding social media and its impact upon the mental health of teen girls.

The Archewell Foundation and The 19th — “the national nonprofit newsroom reporting on gender, politics and policy” — are presenting the panel. Markle is the co-founder of The Archewell Foundation, alongside her husband, Prince Harry.
