Huge victories for Succession, The Bear, and Beef.
After a longer than usual wait, television’s biggest stars finally got to celebrate their most glamorous night of the year as the Primetime Emmy Awards took place in Los Angeles on Monday night.
Originally scheduled for September 2023, the gala was delayed due to the dual strikes of the Writers Guild of America and the Screen Actors Guild, which paralyzed Hollywood through much of the year. But after both groups successfully struck deals for new contracts, the show was allowed to go on — and everyone was clearly ready to celebrate.
The dazzling list of critically acclaimed nominees reflected the current TV landscape, featuring series from networks, cable, and streaming services alike. The big winners of the evening included HBO’s Succession, Hulu’s The Bear, and Netflix’s Beef, which took home the top awards in drama, comedy, and limited series, respectively, along with a slew of acting wins on top of that.
But whether your favorite show won or lost, Emmys host Anthony Anderson kept the fun going all night long in superb fashion — and speaking of fashion, the red carpet was as exciting as ever. If you missed any of the action, not to worry: We’ve got a look at some of the best outfits from the night below, along with a roundup of everyone who took home a trophy.
