A National Crisis Hotline Manager Tells Us About the Calls She’s Been Getting During the Pandemic.

Cora Patterson is a Senior Manager at 211 Miami – a 24-hour national hotline that aims to help direct people to the resources they need. She spoke to me about the calls she’s been getting – about 80% of them have been about food distribution during the COVID-19 crisis and many people are in emotional distress because they can’t pay their rent or buy food.
