It’s Teacher Appreciation Week, and I’m teaming up with @Ally to highlight a group of principals and parents in Junction City, Oregon, who are working overtime to lift kids’ spirits in “The Bright Side.” When Covid-19 struck, this fab foursome took a song the students love — “Sweet Caroline” — and turned it into “Sweet Kids of Mine.” But their efforts didn’t end there: They also rallied with school staff to provide 800 meals a day and over 350 Chromebooks to help kids and their families amidst distance learning.
