The latest #seeherstory centers on Kathryn Sullivan, a trailblazing NASA astronaut. Born in 1951, her father — an aerospace engineer — first sparked her interest in science. “In second grade when we had a chance to take any book we wanted from the school library, I took one about rocket propulsion,” she recalled. After earning her doctorate in geology, she was one of the first six women to join the NASA astronaut corps and she later became the first American woman to walk in space. See her story here.
