I'm very ashamed to share that I was late to the sunscreen game — I zoomed through my late teens and early 20s unabashedly frolicking in full sunlight, as though I was a literal daisy. I was young, I was dumb, I had naturally olive-toned skin, and I loved nothing more than to neglect my work or studies to lie out in some rays with a book for hours. And why would I ruin that experience with an extra step in my already minimalistic skincare routine that would just result in an ugly white cast? I looked upon my sunscreen-using friends with concern and pity, as though they were wearing rubber gloves 24/7.

Fast forward to 2026, when I — and likely you — know better than to step outside without sun protection. I'm much more aware of the risks — from cancer to premature aging. But just because I'm more eager to slather sunscreen on my face and neck doesn't mean that I'm going to use just anything. I seek out lightweight options that feel a little decadent and creamy — which is just my personal preference. My hate of a prominent, stubborn white cast has only deepened. And I'm happiest when my sun protection doubles as skincare.

It may sound like many demands, but one product has met them all: Korres Mineral Milk Fluid Sunscreen.

My Mineral Milk Fluid Sunscreen review

This serum is packed with skin-loving ingredients like yogurt to help strengthen your moisture barrier (so long, midday dryness), plus niacinamide to even tone and boost radiance. A trio of antioxidants — ferulic acid and astaxanthin included — steps in to help fend off photo-aging, so your skin stays hydrated, balanced, and glowing while you soak up the day (safely, of course). You can also expect high broad-spectrum protection — this is SPF 50, after all.

The benefits of Mineral Milk Fluid Sunscreen start as soon as I twist off the cap. Seriously, the sunscreen squeezes out of the bottle so easily, without any fighting or pounding on my part. When I squeeze the creamy, ever-so-slightly sweetly scented serum onto my hands, the feel is so luxurious that I'm momentarily transported to a Greek island that's worlds away from my cluttered bathroom.

When I apply the sunscreen, it quickly sinks into my skin — no white cast. Instead, I'm left with a subtly luminous glow that carries me through the day. I can easily wear makeup on top, of course, but I also enjoy the easy-breezy feel of letting my skin breathe, trusting that it’s hydrated, protected, and doing the most without anything else layered on.
