Every so often, I look around and realize I’ve become one of those people who won’t shut up about the products that are making my daily life better — whether it’s a gadget that saves my back after too many hours in a chair or a kitchen staple that quietly elevates my hosting game. So instead of forcing my friends and family to hear about these things on repeat (sorry, Ellie and Carrie), I figured I’d gather them here. Consider this my latest batch of small luxuries, problem-solvers, and just plain delightful discoveries.
And yes, this list runs the gamut, from a high-tech heating pad situation that has practically become part of my spine, to the cedar hang-ups currently transforming my closets into a moth-free zone, to the blouse I complimented at dinner and wound up shamelessly acquiring. If you’re looking for something that’s beautiful, useful, or even makes you feel a smidge more put-together, I’ve got you.
What I’m using
TULA Skin Care So Polished Exfoliating Sugar Scrub
I love this face exfoliator by Tula because it makes my skin feel so soft and smooth. I use it 2-3x a week, which is plenty. It gives my skin a little glow, which every girl needs, am I right?
When I find my back aching (which happens more and more these days, unfortunately), I grab this gadget. It wraps around your lumbar region and has three levels of heat and three vibration patterns, to work any and all knots out of your muscles. It’s expensive but so well-made, and if you have a bad back, you’ll use it all the time.

I picked up these cedar hang-ups for my closets in East Hampton. They’re a natural way to protect clothes from moths, and make your closets smell fresh and clean. My only complaint is that they’re a little difficult to assemble, but that’s why I made Molner deal with them.

Extra Large (XL) 20 inch Classic Round Wood Bowl from TerraKlay
I got this before hosting my family for Thanksgiving and thought it’d be perfect for presenting a salad at dinner. But even though Thanksgiving is over, this is the kind of piece you’ll use for everything from big Sunday salads to fruit on the counter. It’s beautifully oversized without feeling clunky, and the wood gives it a relaxed and rustic vibe — even if you’re secretly scrambling behind the scenes. It’s not just a holiday hero — it’s a year-round workhorse.
And TerraKlay gave us a special deal, just for you all: Use the code KATIE15 through 12/31, for 15% off your order.

What I’m reading
Notes on Being a Man by Scott Galloway
You all probably know and love podcaster-extraordinaire Scott Galloway; his new book Notes on Being a Man — part memoir, part self-help tome — tackles what the heck is going on with boys and men in America. I interviewed Scott for my podcast a few weeks ago (and pushed back on him a bit), and I think you all should check out Notes on Being a Man — and then watch our conversation.
What I’m wearing
Collarless Blouse in Silk Chiffon (Argent)
By now, you probably know my love for Argent: My friend Sali created the clothing brand, and they make the most beautiful, high-quality pieces. At dinner with Sali recently, I complimented this gorgeous blouse she was wearing — she kindly gifted it to me a few days later! I ended up wearing it with my J.Crew leather pants and black boots, which made for a very cool monochromatic look.
