Shahira Marei always knew she wanted to own a business — she just didn’t know what that business would be. Even as she started her career in aerospace, the lesson Marei’s father had taught her as a child stuck: If you want to make a lasting impact in people’s lives, give them a job. She found her inspiration while on maternity leave a few years later, when she saw a video of chocolate-lined, bowl-shaped cookies and thought she could do the same with shot glasses, riffing on classic milk and cookies. Marei opened The Dirty Cookie just a few months later, creating customizable, celebration-worthy treats that are just as fun for adults as they are for kids. Just fill with your beverage of choice and enjoy.
