About Rumpl
For Wylie Robinson, business inspiration struck in a broken-down van stranded in subzero temperatures. While waiting for help, Robinson and his friend realized how much warmer their insulated sleeping bags were than their normal bedding at home, and a lightbulb went on (figuratively, that is — the car was still very much broken down). Once they’d been towed home, Robinson hand-sewed the first Rumpl blanket, which translated the technology that had revolutionized outdoor gear into something for everyday use. Rumpl’s puffy blankets are lightweight, ultra-packable, sustainable, weatherproof, and machine-washable, making them suitable for everything from watching a movie on the couch to taking with you on a backpacking trip or casual picnic.

Why we love them
Calling all blanket enthusiasts: We have your new favorites on deck. Rumpl’s signature Everywhere Blankets are filled with sustainably sourced natural down or with insulation made entirely from dozens of recycled plastic bottles, and KCM’s Lisa was surprised by how easily she was able to get her blanket back in its included stuff sack. The puffy blankets come in sizes ranging from the stroller-appropriate to two-person coverings, and the one-person blankets even come with a “cape clip” so you can stay perfectly wrapped up while moving from couch to desk to lawn chair. If you prefer a more traditional topper, our colleague Victoria says the Sherpa Fleece Blanket — aside from being lightweight and warm — didn’t cause the static common among fluffy throws.
