About OOFOS
OOFOS’ mission is simple: Make people feel better. The brainchild of performance footwear industry veterans, OOFOS makes shoes that fill an important gap in post-workout routines. Casual walking on hard surfaces — basically what we do all day, every day — puts a surprising amount of stress on our joints, which hinders the recovery process from workouts and can cause injuries down the line. Unlike the soles of running shoes, which work like springboards to propel you off the ground, OOFOS shoes are more like memory foam: They cushion and support your feet, which has a ripple effect from your ankles all the way up to your back. Whether you’re training for a marathon or consider a 2,000-step day a victory, OOFOS has you covered with slippers, sandals, and shoes you’ll wear day and night.

Why we love them
Wearing proper shoes is critical to foot and joint health: As anyone who’s been sore after cooking barefoot in the kitchen knows, even standing still can take a toll on your body. KCM’s Bianca says her OOmg eeZee Low Shoes have been a huge help in her recovery from a torn hip labrum, and our colleague Lisa recommends that everyone replace their regular household slippers with the OOcoozie Low Shoes for consistent impact prevention and arch support. Yes, we’re obsessed with OOFOS’ footwear, but we also love the way the company gives back: OOFOS donates 2 percent of every online purchase to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund in honor of its first employee, Duncan Finigan, who passed away in 2019 after a years-long battle with breast cancer. OOFOS has donated $1.8 million in Duncan’s name since 2014, and isn’t slowing down.
