About MINNA
Traditional craft, contemporary design, and functionality blend seamlessly together at MINNA, an ethically minded home goods company. After leaving an unfulfilling career in branding and digital design, founder Sara Berks discovered a love of textiles and dove into learning about weaving communities in Central and South America. Berks eventually founded MINNA in the spirit of collaboration and co-creation, with a philosophy of using business to do good. The proudly queer-owned and -led company is meticulous about treating its workers and the planet with respect, through fair wages and sustainable practices, and works closely with its artisan partners to create modern designs rooted in traditional techniques. The result is a line of handcrafted products that marry form and function: from rugs, napkins, and baskets from Mexico to Alpaca wool throws and pillows sewn in Bolivia.

Why we love them
Whether in the materials the company sources or the thriving partnerships they form, MINNA’s values of honesty, intentionality, and humanity shine through in every part of the business. The handmade pieces are colored with natural dyes, giving them muted tones that fit well into nearly any color scheme, and feature timeless geometric patterns meant to work together. KCM’s Lisa loves her Sol Potholder because it brings some color into the kitchen while providing plenty of functionality, and says the Small Blocks Basket is the perfect catchall for that pile of odds and ends you can’t seem to ever get rid of. The quality and durability of the products is unmatched, and we love that each piece has a story and a history — which you can read right on the product page.
