About Captain Blankenship
Captain Blankenship’s lush, botanical hair products were inspired by founder Jana’s childhood on the coast of Maine, where she spent every day immersed in the natural beauty of the area. The company’s ingredients — like Nilotica shea butter sourced from a women’s collective in Uganda — are renewable and natural, unlike the conventional stuff most beauty brands rely on. Captain Blankenship takes its relationship with the planet seriously: Beyond being a B Corp and a member of 1% for the Planet, the company just switched all its packaging over to aluminum, which is recycled at a much higher rate than plastic or glass. With clean products that feel like sunshine and salt breeze in a bottle, Captain Blankenship is on a mission to create a direct link with nature that you can tap into every day, no matter where you live.
