About Brightland
Whether you’re a gourmet chef or a let’s-toss-this-together-and-see-what-happens kind of cook, you can benefit from using a really good olive oil. Aishwarya Iyer founded Brightland after discovering that olive oil in the U.S. is often rotten, mixed with inferior oils, and overprocessed. Inspired by her salt-farming ancestors in South India, Aish decided to tap into California’s natural resources and develop a line of olive oils and vinegars that bring you straight-from-the-ground nourishment. Brightland’s antioxidant-loaded olive oils are minimally processed and made with only the freshest ingredients, while its vinegars are carefully harvested and fermented for bold, fruity flavors. It’s a rich difference you can taste.
Why We Love It
Brightland’s products are the staple ingredients you’ll rely on daily, without the questionable ingredients. After all, olive oil is chock-full of healthy fats and other beneficial compounds, like antioxidants and anti-inflammatory oleocanthal — why negate all that goodness with over-processing or chemical additives? Brightland offers both neutral and infused olive oils, though their core Alive and Awake oils are anything but basic. Cover your bases with The Essential Capsule, which includes Brightland’s balsamic and champagne vinegars and everyday olive oils, or gift your favorite foodie or host extraordinaire with The Artist Capsule of infused oils. Our colleague Lisa says the chili, garlic, and lemon oils included in the collection are clean-tasting and ultra-flavorful.
