Happy Mother’s Day! For my special day, I’m hoping Carrie will reopen the Fallopia Spa so I’ll be able to redeem my certificate for a 10-minute back scratch and then spend the day doing a lot of nothing.

Here’s what’s some of our friends are looking forward to:

Giada De Laurentiis: “My daughter, Jade, is keeping it a surprise! But I’m secretly hoping she makes my favorite espresso peanut butter chocolate brownies!”

Amanda Seyfried: “The best parts of this Mother’s Day are that I’m now a mom of two and that my husband Tommy and I will have BOTH our mothers with us at the farm. Three generations on both sides will make for some wonderful photos and even better memories. I’m going to make lemon bars for everyone and, if it’s nice, we’ll have our first spring brunch outside.”

Bozoma Saint John: “Over the last year, we’ve had a silver lining in our shelter-at-home existence… we’ve had 3 generations in 1 home. It’s just us girls! So every day has felt like Mother’s Day. On Sunday, we’ll have a little extra celebration by working out together, splurging on our favorite Indian food, and watching a teary movie. It’s the perfect kind of day!”

Padma Lakshmi: “We’re keeping it low-key but still planning on enjoying the spring by going roller skating in Prospect Park. We’ll most likely just get our nails done and have brunch at a favorite spot here in the Village. I just want to spend the time unfettered with Krishna, as I’ll be leaving the next day to film an episode for season two of Taste the Nation.

Heidi Montag: “For Mother’s Day, I want to have a relaxing time with my family outdoors. My favorite place to be is nature, so my ideal activity would be a hike. I’ve officially become my mother: I remember all she would ask for on Mother’s Day was a hike, and it seemed silly and not special. Now I understand. I’m also hoping for a sweet Mother’s Day card… fingers crossed.”

Dr. Jen Arnold: “My husband Bill is helping the kids organize a special breakfast in bed.  Then, since I love art and we don’t find time to enjoy art very often, we are going to the Morean Arts Center (with masks of course) to see the Chihuly collection.  If I’m lucky, we’ll go to the beach (my all-time favorite place to be) to watch the sunset and enjoy some ice cream… we will see if we make it all happen, but that’s the goal. 😊 “

Eunique Jones Gibson: “This Mother’s Day I’m looking forward to unplugging from social, sleeping in late and enjoying some crabs in the backyard with my husband and kids.”

Norah O’Donnell: “I finally get to see my Mom and Dad with my siblings! We’re going for a hike outside and then my husband Geoff has offered to make us a yummy dinner.”

Kathy Najimi: “What I’m looking forward to is time on the beach with my daughter, Samia, a bubble tea, playing with dogs, an inappropriately long nap, and supporting Mothers throughout the universe.”

Ilana Glazer: “I’m a first time mama-to-be, so I’m spending Mother’s Day getting a prenatal massage, yes!!!! I’m sandwiching the day with a mama-in-law lunch and a mama lunch. Grateful for all the maternal energy.”
