Weekend Whats: Comedian Sebastian Maniscalco

Sebastian Maniscalco

Comedian and all-around great guy Sebastian Maniscalco shares what he’ll be doing this weekend…including reading a book by another very cool celebrity!

With wholesome, family-friendly jokes, Sebastian Maniscalco is the type of comedian who will make your entire family laugh until you cry. And it’s no wonder: since the pandemic, his days have been consumed with caring for two little kids with his equally funny wife, Lana. Like all of us, Maniscalco has gotten creative in keeping busy, doing everything from visiting his four-year-old daughter’s hair salon to having a small breakdown while trying to assemble a dollhouse

If you haven’t seen Maniscalco perform live, then you’re in luck: his Nobody Does This Tour hits arenas this fall, and he’ll most certainly be playing a venue near you. In the meantime, make sure to check out Maniscalco’s new Discovery+ show Well Done with Sebastian Maniscalco, where he takes a deep dive into the wide world of food. This week, Maniscalco shared some fun ideas to spice up your weekend — including dancing to The Weeknd!

What to Watch: I find myself watching the Chicago Bulls documentary Last Dance over and over again. However, Ted Lasso is my new favorite show…the writing and characters are truly unique.

What to Read: I just finished Matthew McConaughey’s new book, Greenlights. I’ve always been a big fan of his, and it was interesting to hear his life story.

What to Wear: I love anything Tom Ford puts out….His clothes feel like you’re wearing your own skin.

What to Cook: I love cooking meat. Low and slow is my technique. Also, I just got a pizza oven so I’m trying my hand at homemade pizza.

What to Listen To: I’m into The Weeknd and anything with a dance beat.

What to Do: I find myself doing a lot of kid activities, since I have a four- and two-year-old. Parks, playgrounds, swimming pools. Although my wife and I go out every Tuesday for date night. We love trying new and interesting food.
