The comedian shares her weekend picks

I had so much fun on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. We talked about that time I slid into Spencer Pratt’s DMs to see his hummingbirds and what it was like being on Jeopardy! Ellen was so kind to give us some recs to spice up your weekend — take a look!

What to watch: I Care A Lot (Netflix)

Rosamund Pike just won Best Actress at the Golden Globes for her role in the film as Marla Grayson, a woman who’s swindling a group of elderly people out of their savings. It’s a thriller that’s been called “shockingly funny” and it recently made it into Netflix’s coveted Top Ten.

What to read: Keep Sharp: Build A Better Brain At Any Age by Dr Sanjay Gupta.

Dr. Gupta is a neurosurgeon and CNN’s Chief Medical Correspondent. Build a Better Brain debunks common myths about the brain and aging: is there a “best” diet or exercise for the brain? Is it healthier to play games that test memory, or to engage in more social interaction? What can we learn from “super-brained” people in their 80s and 90s who show no sign of slowing down?

What to listen to: “Leave the Door Open” by Silk Sonic (Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak)

Bruno Mars and Anderson. Paak are now known as the duo, “Silk Sonic”. Their new song “Leave The Door Open” just — well, opened — at #1 on Billboard’s R&B charts. And James Corden just debuted his own rendition earlier this week.

What to cook: Pizza and pasta.

My friend Giada De Laurentiis was on Ellen’s show the same day I was! The two of them made this quick and easy bolognese (looks delicious, and you can make it vegan!). And Giada’s cacio e pepe pizza recipe sounds to die for (when my 21-day Pegan detox is over, I’ll take one of these, please!).
