Hannah Waddingham, who plays the glamorous owner of AFC Richmond in Ted Lasso, shares what she’ll be cooking, watching, and listening to this weekend — including a costar’s podcast!

If you haven’t yet watched the beloved Apple TV+ series Ted Lasso, what are you waiting for?! If you have, then chances are you’re already a huge fan of Hannah Waddingham, who plays Rebecca Welton, the owner of the AFC Richmond football team. Rebecca is a ball-busting glamazon with a heart of gold, and if you haven’t caught up on season 2, we’ve got a spoiler alert: Hannah, who has the voice of an angel, graces audiences with a show-stopping performance in episode 4.

When Waddingham isn’t on set, the Emmy-nominated actress and Critics Choice winner for Best Supporting Actress has been spending her time re-reading an old favorite book, and watching one of Katie’s favorite TV shows for the first time! Like her Ted Lasso character, Waddingham has a passion for fashion, and she shared with us some of her favorite designers and why she loves them.

What to Watch: I may be late to the party but I’ve just finished The Undoing. Nicole Kidman, Hugh Grant, Noma Dumezweni, and Edgar Ramirez are all just insanely good. Their understated power, their economy of movement, and the intensity they lend to the piece throughout is a masterclass from beginning to end, and was a total privilege to watch.

What to Listen To: I highly recommend Brett Goldstein’s podcast, Films To Be Buried With, and not just because he’s my Richmond AFC teammate! (Goldstein plays aging football star Roy Kent). He’s absolutely brilliant at what he does in his podcast — he hosts a plethora of fascinating, hilarious, and heartbreaking guests, and the show has a brilliant premise that offers great insight and intimacy into the lives and loves (and hates) of everyone he speaks with. There’s not a lot that boy doesn’t know about film.

What to Wear: I have fallen hook, line, and sinker in love with Dolce & Gabbana! They make exquisite clothes for old-fashioned and curvy shapes and I’m not sure anything else fits me better! I love Armani for immaculate lines and understated chic, Valentino for that extra flourish, and Christian Louboutin because his shoes are poetry in motion…and they’re surprisingly comfortable, even the four-inch heels I wear from morning to night on set!

What to Cook: A friend of mine’s recipe for filthy, fabulous Thai Red Chicken Curry. She made it for me the other day and I made her give me the recipe. It was insanely good, better than I’ve ever had in a top restaurant!

What to Read:  My favorite book of all time, which I’m currently re-reading because it actually centers me: The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy.
