The actor and activists shares her favorite weekend recs

In honor of our “Get Green” week, we’re sharing recs from activist and actor Jane Fonda.

What to Watch: I May Destroy You on HBO.

What to Listen to: The New York Times1619 podcast. It’s a look at North America through the Black experience, beginning in 1619 with the first slave ship landing on North America’s shores.

What to Read: My new book What Can I Do? My Path From Climate Despair to Action is out on September 8th. It looks back at the inception and launch of Fire Drill Fridays, and includes conversations with leading climate scientists, discussions of what is at stake, and also gives concrete solutions on what we can all do to combat the climate crisis. 100% of my net proceeds will go to Greenpeace.

What to Protest: Every day the U.S. Postal Service delivers lifesaving medications, heartfelt letters, vote-by-mail ballots, and other indispensable mail to Americans across the country. During this pandemic, President Trump has blocked vital funding that the Postal Service desperately needs to stay in business. Please join me in signing this petition.

What to Follow: Together with Greenpeace I’m building an army to fight the climate crisis. Follow Fire Drill Fridays on social media to stay up to date on the climate crisis and learn about our virtual rallies.
