Sip & Talk: Closing out Women’s History Month with A New Jane Walker Cocktail and Talk with Sophia Bush

sip and talk

Learn how to make ‘The Strong Knows Strong,’ an original cocktail by mixologist Julie Reiner

Welcome back to “Sip & Talk,” my happy hour series with Jane Walker by Johnnie Walker! I’ve been able to chat and celebrate with some amazing women during Women’s History Month as part of the Jane Walker First Women campaign. From the mixologists who showed me the ropes of cocktail making, to our incredible guests, I’ve learned so much from these trailblazers who have paved the way in culture as first women to support more seconds, thirds, and fourths to follow.

For the final “Sip & Talk,” I chatted with actress and activist, Sophia Bush. Between her podcast and other passion projects, there was a lot to catch up with her on! We sipped on ‘The Strong Knows Strong’ by Julie Reiner. As the author of The Craft Cocktail Party and co-founder of Social Hour Cocktails, Julie has been elevating the cocktail scene for years.

As part of the Jane Walker First Women program, Sophia and I were so excited to announce the newest IFundWomen grant recipients during the “Sip & Talk” – She TV Media and Three Keys Coffee. About Three Keys Coffee: Three Keys Coffee is a craft coffee roastery based in Houston. Three Keys takes its inspiration from the sounds and art of Jazz, and specifically derives its name from the keys of the trumpet—an instrument of simplicity that uses just three keys to produce notes across a creative and complex range of tonal outputs. They seek to create an inclusive, multi-sensory experience that explores the connection between art, music, and coffee through vibrant artwork designs on product bags, curated Spotify playlists to pair with each roast, and top-quality crafted coffee. The coffee industry, notably the coffee roasting industry, has traditionally been dominated by men. Through Three Keys, as 51% owner alongside with her husband, Kenzel Fallen showcases imagery that pushes women coffee producers, women jazz artists, and women contributions to the forefront. Three Keys is a positive disrupter in the specialty coffee industry, providing a new perspective about how coffee can be enjoyed and consumed.
