Grab your wine, your popcorn, and your portable fan because The Golden Bachelorette contestants have been revealed — and it’s getting hot in here! A grand total of 24 distinguished gentlemen will step out of the limo in front of the Bachelor Mansion, all in the hopes of winning 61-year-old Joan Vassos’ heart. According to a release from ABC, these hopefuls “have journeyed through the highs and lows of love, navigating moments of joy and heartbreak, and they arrive with anticipation, eager to foster a connection that sparks a future of limitless possibilities.” We can’t wait to meet them.
In case you need a refresher, Joan was a contestant on the inaugural season of The Golden Bachelor and was a standout contender for Gerry Turner’s heart. Unfortunately, the school administrator and mom of four had to self-eliminate much sooner than expected because her daughter was dealing with a medical issue. Thankfully, she’s getting a second chance at finding love on our screens — this time, as the star of the inaugural Golden Bachelorette. Of course, we’ll be recapping every episode of her adventure, which premieres in just over a month.
Who are the contestants for Joan’s season of Golden Bachelorette?
This diverse group of guys ranges from a sprightly 60 years old to a dignified 69, with a slew of fascinating professional backgrounds — there’s even a retired U.N. agency director and one self-proclaimed “girl dad.” Take a look at the full cast and their ABC bios:
William “Bill,” 68, a retired videographer from Portland, Ore.
“Bill is an outgoing, charismatic man who’s ready to meet the one! The retired video producer is a self-proclaimed hopeless romantic who says, ‘I am Latin; romance is in my blood!’ Bill loves the retired life but wants to meet someone to enjoy his golden years with. He shares two daughters with his ex-wife, and they are all extremely supportive of him going on this journey and hopefully finding love again. Bill says he has tried every dating site and hasn’t had any luck in his local singles’ scene. When he isn’t spending time with family, Bill loves playing guitar, public speaking, and rocking out to the Beatles. He’s hoping meeting Joan will be the end of the search for his future wife.”
Robert “Bob,” 66, a chiropractor from Marina Del Ray, Calif.
“This chiropractor is an avid surfer, and he’s ready to see if he and Joan have the totally tubular chemistry he’s been searching for.
