We’ve just barely dipped our toes into 2025, but ready or not, awards season is here! It kicked off with the 82nd annual Golden Globes, honoring excellence in international film and television. Comedian Nikki Glaser hosted the ceremony, which also featured a long list of A-list presenters — including Demi Moore, Dwayne Johnson, Elton John, Glenn Close, Viola Davis, and many more. But before the action began, we got to watch the stars parade their beautiful ensembles on the red carpet.

The Golden Globes have long been seen as the Academy Awards’ more lively, less stuffy cousin — in fact, the ceremony has been called “Hollywood’s Party of the Year.” So in keeping with that spirit, many stars took some fashion risks. Gold made a frequent appearance, which comes as no surprise since it’s in the name of the awards. But if we were to make any other fashion predictions based on the looks we saw come down the red carpet, we’d guess gloves are about to have a big year, and dramatic shawls are having a moments, too.
