About Welly
With a background in advertising and entrepreneurship, Welly co-founder Eric Ryan found average adhesive bandages boring from a design perspective: They’re meant to mask injuries with “skin-tone” materials that don’t blend in with most people’s skin at all. So Ryan teamed up with a partner to make bandages that aim to protect the little scrapes that come with an active life, whether you’re a kid determined to conquer the monkey bars, an adult running after that kid, or an adult trying to conquer the monkey bars yourself. Through projects in collaboration with KABOOM! and the American Red Cross, Welly is working to deepen its relationship with its hometown of Minneapolis and ensure all members of the community have access to the resources they need for a healthy, active life.
Why we love them
Welly has turned bandages into something we want, rather than something we need. With prints ranging from llamas to tie-dye, Welly’s bandages and colorful matching tins make thoughtful and funny gifts for the accident-prone people in your life. Welly’s flex fabric makes it easy to keep doing what you love, despite any scrapes and cuts, and the waterproof bandages seal in the wound while locking out bacteria to aid the healing process. Welly also makes hydrocolloid acne patches that, like the bandages, are free of common allergens like latex and silicone, making them suitable even for sensitive skin. Whether you’re dealing with blisters from a new pair of shoes or need to upgrade your first-aid kit, Welly has you covered…literally.
