About Cariuma
All too often, fashion sneakers are uncomfortable, unsupportive, and cheaply made. It’s not just annoying: It’s incredibly wasteful and damaging to the environment. Cariuma provides an alternative to the status quo with responsibly and sustainably made sneakers that are built to last. Using certifiably eco-friendly materials like bamboo, organic cotton, and recycled plastic, coupled with waste-conscious manufacturing practices, Cariuma sets a new industry standard for quality and accountability. The Brazilian company even plants a pair of trees in its home country’s rainforest for every pair of shoes sold, and ships carbon neutrally in recycled paper boxes. We honestly don’t have room to talk about all the reasons Cariuma is amazing, and we can say that their styles for men and women are just as cool as their mission.
Why we love them
If you’re already Cariuma’s new biggest fan based on their values, just wait till you try them on. Each style comes with memory foam insoles and thick, durable soles for long-wearing comfort, and there are enough colors and styles to suit any taste. KCM’s Kat says her Off-White Canvas OCA Lows are the perfect go-to sneaker. The classic style goes with everything from dresses to sweats and remains comfortable for miles of walking. KCM’s Ciara got her Black Knit IBIs as a summer sneaker and basically hasn’t taken them off since (only to throw them in the washing machine).
