Geoffrey Zakarian isn’t afraid of a challenge. This jack-of-all-trades chef, restaurateur, author, and TV personality has appeared on Food Network faves like Chopped and The Next Iron Chef. So when we asked him and his daughter, Anna Zakarian, to take the “First, Worst, Best” challenge for our Good Taste newsletter, they were totally up for the task.
The rules of the game are simple: We ask culinary experts to pinpoint their first food memories, their worst culinary mishaps, and the best meal of their lives (so far). Watch the video below to relive Geoffrey’s best meal in the markets of France (ooh la la) and to heed Anna’s warning to always remember the blender lid.
And if you’re hungry for more from the Zakarians, we’ve got a great tip. The family is partnering with Bon Bon, a Swedish candy company, to throw a Thanksgiving can drive for New Yorkers in need.
The event will be held on Nov. 9 at the Upper East Side Bon Bon location at 1220 Lexington Ave at 83 St, NYC. You can bring cans or scan the QR code onsite to donate; and while you’re there, shop treats and limited-edition Zakarian candy mixes, all to benefit City Harvest!
