In July of 2016, the first season of Stranger Things premiered. That’s right — this seminal series predates the pandemic, Donald Trump’s first term as president, and the actual entirety of Succession. But the supernatural events in the small town of Hawkins have kept audiences attentions for nearly a decade — and finally, this winter, the story will come to an end. Read on for more information about what our heroes are facing, more on the trailer, and all the deets on how to watch.
In the fall of 1987, Hawkins is scarred by the opening of the Rifts, and our heroes are united by a single goal: find and kill Vecna. But he’s vanished. Complicating their mission, the government has placed the town under quarantine in an effort to locate Eleven, forcing her to hide yet again. The final battle looms — and with it, a darkness more powerful and more deadly than anything they’ve faced before.
This highly anticipated fifth and final season will release on Netflix across three premiere dates. Volume 1 (four episodes) will be released on November 26, Volume 2 (three episodes) will be released on Christmas, and The Finale will premiere on New Year’s Eve. Each volume releases at 5 PM PT.
