Whipped up by Katie and her foodie friends, Comfort Food podcast host Kelly Rizzo and Lifeway Foods CEO Julie Smolyanksy, this recipe levels up the traditional Greek tzatziki sauce by swapping in Lifeway Kefir for the usual yogurt. The result? A tangier, more probiotic-rich take that brings extra digestive support, protein, and a whole lot of flavor to your plate.

Grilled Chicken with Tzatziki Marinade
Serving size: 3-4
Grilled Chicken
Ingredients
- 1½–2 lbs. organic chicken thighs (or breasts)
- ¾ cup plain Lifeway Kefir
- ¼ cup oil
- Juice of ½ lemon
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ¾ tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
Instructions
- Marinate as long as possible, then grill about 4 minutes per side until cooked.
Tzatziki Sauce
Ingredients
- ¾ cup plain Lifeway Kefir
- 1 cucumber, shredded (wring out excess liquid)
- 1 clove garlic, grated
- 1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- ¼ cup fresh dill
- Juice of ½ lemon
- Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- Whisk all ingredients together and serve as a dipping sauce for the grilled chicken.
