 No fancy equipment required.

Fitness expert Ryan Cooper has brought us plenty of routines that tackle specific aches and pains. From neck tension to back pain relief, he’s got you covered. But what about when you want a classic workout that exercises your whole body? If you’re craving comprehensive intensity, look no further than Cooper’s latest 40-minute YouTube workout.

If you’re unfamiliar with Cooper’s philosophy, here’s the deal: He’s designed this workout so that you can do it pretty much anywhere, anytime. Whether that’s in your kitchen between meetings or in that hotel room in the middle of nowhere. All you’ll really need is a handy exercise mat — and if you don’t have one, trust us when we say they’re a worthy, low-cost investment.

In the arm workout portion of the video, you will need to get your hands on two weights — but those can be the old dumbbells you have gathering dust in your closet, some exercise bands, or two water bottles.

And like Cooper’s recommended equipment, his actual exercise routine is classic. You’ll return to gym class with old favorites like jumping jacks, push-ups, and lunges. Periodic intervals of rest will give you time to catch your breath and take a drink of water.

And if you’re concerned about a cool-down session to prevent injury, Cooper has integrated one right into this workout. His version relies on some standard, relaxing yoga poses that will stretch your body in a soothing way. Cooper’s most important instruction comes at the very end of this video, though: “Smile, tell yourself you did a good job — because you did.”

Feeling invigorated? If you’re looking to push further into that sensation, Cooper has more meditation guidance, workouts, breathwork, yoga sessions, nutritional advice, and even one-on-one training. (Plus, Cooper has a deal just for Katie Couric Media readers: Using the promo code KCM50, you can get 50 percent off Cooper’s fitness packages.) And no, you won’t be obligated to invest in any machinery besides your body.
