  3. How do I get tickets to see “Katie” live? Is there a fee?

    Tickets are free and all tickets must be requested at on katiecouric.com/tickets. Typically, available dates are posted one and a half months in advance, so please periodically check to see what dates are available. If a date you are interested in is not posted, it means the audience is full for this date, but you are welcome to try for standby tickets.

  4. How old do you have to be to attend the show?

    All audience members must be at least 16 years of age. Special themed shows may include a younger audience with prior approval. All minors must attend the show with an adult, unless otherwise noted.

  5. How many tickets may I request?

    You may request a maximum of four tickets per show within a two-month period.Duplicate ticket requests will be deleted. Please wait two months from the date of your last ticket order to ensure that your most recent request is not deleted from our system. Regarding group requests, if you are a member of a special interest group that would like to attend a taping (knitting club, cooking club, PTA, etc.), please fill out our group form located on our tickets page at http://www.katiecouric.com/group-tickets.

  6. When will I find out if my ticket request has been granted?

    If tickets are available for the week or show date that you have selected, you will be contacted about three weeks prior to the show by email. Not all ticket requests can be honored, and we will contact you only if your ticket request has been granted. Please note that from time to time, last minute tickets may become available and we may contact you closer to the show date you requested.

  7. How can I get standby tickets?

    Standby tickets will be available about two hours prior to show time at ABC Studios TV 1, 30 West 67th Street (between Columbus Avenue and Central Park West), New York, New York. The closest subway station is the 1, 2, 3 line at 66th Street/Lincoln center. The show typically tapes at 12 p.m., and standby tickets are given out when available at 10:30 a.m.

  8. When does the show tape?

    “Katie” tapes on weekdays only. Our show schedule may vary from week to week, but we typically tape Monday through Friday at 12 p.m. from August through July.

  9. What time should I arrive?

    Audience members must arrive at least an hour and a half before the show tapes. We operate on a first come, first served basis, as ticket distribution may be in excess of studio capacity.

  10. How long is the taping?

    Tapings typically last about an hour. Some shows may be longer. On occasion, there will be additional segments taped in the studio prior to or after the scheduled show. Please leave your departure time flexible.

  11. Where is the television studio?

    The studio (ABC Studios TV 1 ) is located at 30 West 67th Street (between Columbus Avenue and Central Park West) in New York City. The closest subway station is the 1, 2, 3 line at 66th Street/Lincoln center. The audience should enter at the audience entrance located at 30 W. 67th Street between Columbus Avenue and Central Park West.

  12. What should I wear?

    Dress your best in solid bright colors. Audience members may appear on camera and may be asked to participate in the show. No tank tops, T-shirts, sunglasses, attire with logos on it, or hats are permitted. Note: Bright colors photograph best; please avoid black, white, and red.

  13. What do I need to bring to the show?

    Please bring a valid government-issued photo ID with a birth date and an address. This information must match the information submitted with your request. Children may be asked to show their birth certificates.

  14. Can I bring my camera?

    Cameras are permitted. We have the right to ask you not to use your camera at any given time. Film and video are not permitted.

  15. Is there a security screening?

    All audience members are required to be screened prior to entering the studio. Please refrain from bringing extra personal belongings.

  16. Is there a coat-check?

    No, all of your belongings must fit underneath your seat.
