Michele Shanahan DeMoss from Independence, Missouri had an unbreakable bond with her 11-year-old daughter, Blair. She was Michele’s only child, her best friend and the love of her life. Then, an unimaginable tragedy happened.

After Michele’s 11-year-old daughter died after being struck by a stray bullet, she decided to donate Blair’s organs. 17-year-old Andrew Myers from Hoopeston, Illinois is the boy who received Blair’s heart.
