From humble beginnings to super-stardom, Barbra Streisand has touched our hearts for more than five decades. After years of success as a singer, actress, writer, director, producer, author and activist, she’s throwing her energy behind a new passion, leading the revolution in women’s heart health.

Barbra is teaming up with Dr. Noel Bairey Merz, Director of the Barbra Streisand Women’s Heart Center at the Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute, to tackle the overlooked epidemic of heart disease among women. Dr. Bairey Merz’s shares her tips for heart health.

“Go to the dentist.”

From heart health, to Barbra’s remarkable career. She’s coming out of retirement again and heading back to where it all began, Brooklyn, returning to her hometown to sing for the first time in 50 years.

“I always feel safe going home.”

Although she has one of the most legendary voices of all time, Barbra admits she’s got a case of stage fright. And if she’s afraid to sing, what does that mean for the rest of us?!

“I am shy… but I’m also from Brooklyn.”
